Vestige Astray
A vestige is a trace or remnant of something that is disappearing or no longer exists, like a fossil or a rune. In biology, it is a part of an organism which has been rendered obsolete through the course of evolution. An assemblage of artefacts sit astray in this car park. On the edge of the road there lies a fertile wasteland, incubating hybrid life-forms.
The landscape is synthetic and living; becoming.
Buglass and Malu’s practices engage intuitively with materiality, and its livelihood, in between the blurry line of nature and culture.
